Here I come, with another interesting tidbit of the web.

This one will surely entertain/inform those who are either travelers/nature lovers/some others.

This page has a lot of kinds of "extremes" on earth, like which is the greatest vertical drop on earth, deepest cave, tallest bridge, snowiest place, deepest lake, smallest park on earth, etc. etc. etc., with pictures and some links.

Google Earth - Extreme Series

I found it pretty interesting. It is updated frequently.

Kewl, They should do one on Hajj- Makkah

Muslims from all over the world come to Makkah (or Mecca, as it is less accurately spelled in English) for the annual pilgrimage known as hajj. The city is said to be 4000 years old, but it seems that the city is much older. One of the sacred sites in the city, 'Arafat, is linked by tradition not with Abraham but with Adam and Eve who are said to have met there after a long period of separation caused by the "fall"

now AFAIK in 2006 2,378,636 people went to preform Hajj. There for known as the largest pilgrimage on earth.

Wow. That's a LOT of people.

Still, while your entry is good, it really didn't belong to the list of "extremes", like for example "biggest Makkah in the world", since there is just one.

But again, good entry.
